Benefits of using Virtual Reality For Home Schooling

How Virtual Reality Can Make A Difference

Tons of parents prefer their children to be home schooled & I think virtual reality is the answer to this. Parents have many reasons for why they want to keep their children from going to school

Their reasons for wanting this include:

  • Bullying
  • Low-Quality Education
  • To Avoid Unfortunate Events (School shootings, Kid Napping, Discrimination)

There are a ton of other things we can include, but when you think about it… Can you blame them? We’re at a point in 2018 where we have the technology to avoid these incidents.

Worse case scenario, if parents thought their children were being threatened online, they could try to track down the person they think is responsible for a public records search engine.

Having a virtual reality world that has dedicated teachers in it & also teaches dedicated classes that students need to learn in order to be what they want to be in life, doesn’t sound like a bad idea.. Unless net neutrality is still a thing, but that’s a topic for another time.

Why Virtual Reality Will Work

There are many reasons why virtual reality will work for schooling and entertainment if it becomes the norm.

Kids hate getting up early. Schools tend to have ridiculous time schedules. When I was a kid, I used to have to get up at 5 a.m. to get on the school bus at 6 a.m. just so they could pick everyone else up & drop us at school at 7:00 where we’d have to stand outside in the cold until 8.

Virtual reality will prevent this from happening. With VR, kids will get to create their own schedules from home, pick their own classes, and know their own routine. It creates a much more diverse system for them.

Between learning what they actually want to learn & picking their own schedule of when they would like to learn, I don’t see how traditional school is any more beneficial.

Why VR To Get The Job Done

Kids love video games. If video games could be developed for VR crafted for specific individuals designed to teach them what they want to learn, it’d definitely work. Having access to a VR headset and being able to jump in is going to give students as much engagement as they need.

The best thing about VR is that with VR you will get the full learning experience still… Whether you’re a kinesthetic learner, an auditory learner, or a visual learner… Virtual reality gives you the opportunity to learn through all aspects.
